    Description

    Kashmir has a long tradition of skilled crafts with their own unique style and grace.  This is a fabulous crewel work jacket made by Kashmiri artisans in Srinagar, India.
    It is a black coat with lovely flowers embroidered all over in many colors.  The flowers are in shades of vermillion, wisteria, persian red, cornflower blue and deep pink with khaki green leaves and coral vines. There are matching black fabric covered buttons.  The jacket is made of fine quality, very soft wool.  There are two side pockets.  The jacket is lined with black fabric.  As you can see from the photos, it is just amazing.  Fit for a maharani to wear on a special evening out, but would also look great with jeans or leggings!
    It is about 17 3/4 inches from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. It is 41 1/2 inches from the shoulder seam to the hem.
    The sleeves are 22 inches long.  It is 21 1/4" across the chest in front.
