    Description

    From a lovely box collection, is this handsome
    lacquer
    box
    depicting a beautiful dancing lady. Her dress indicates Indian or Persian origin. However the box is made in the Russian Lacquer box style. I am unsure of it's origin or who painted it, but it is incredibly beautiful. It is two piece, with one domed lid over the box body.
    It is eloquently hand painted with a rich black lacquer background to it. This piece was handcrafted by fine artisans. It would make a great decor piece! This box is pretty old (I would guess 1960 - 1970s). It measures 9 inches long, 6 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches tall. The condition is great - consummate with age. Minor spotty wear along the rim and I have taken photos from all angles for you to inspect. There are a lot of glare from the
    lacquer.
