Vintage Kutch Wall Art Made in India with Camel and Horses/mirror glass

Vintage Richly colored Indian Kutch Tapestry with Camel and Horses/mirror glass. This richly colored and expertly crafted Vintage Kutch Indian tapestry depicts the carefully woven Camel as the central animal of this beautiful wall hanging along with horses at each corner. The work includes multi-colored sections along with embroidered mirror pieces indicative of the Kutch signature art tradition. It is likely this was made by the Jat community in Northern India and Pakistan as they are known for their embroidered mirror pieces in their works. The backing is a very fine gauze type fabric and there is one small worn place and a repair (possibly caused by past owner inserting a curtain rod in order to hang). These minor flaws do not impact the embroidery or handiwork of the tapestry. There is also a number on the back side of the tapestry but no provenance. The tapestry has been well cared for and is clean. It is a beautiful wall hanging and would be suitable in many locations in your home (or office).Condition is "Pre-owned".
